In 1986 the first designs of fashion shoes are developed through the incorporation of the braiding technique, a product traditionally used for comfortable shoes but without design, and this way the braiding is introduced into the fashion world.
In 1987, at the international trade fair of Düsseldorf, a spectacular success of Pons Quintana’s collection of fashion and quality shoes, made of braided leather, took place. 15.000 pairs were sold in 3 days and this caused to expansion to Germany, France and Italy.
